We've all seen drug experiences in film and animation before - so I smashed together unexpected settings for a story with my own personal experiences to try and create a unique approach. "The initial brief was about a drug experience, and so the natural environment and storyline between non-human characters provided this alternative way to visualise the experience whilst still staying close to the emotion and feeling in the track. I was aware that I was very much in the shadow of who I was pitching against - and creating a Tame Impala music video is really one of those once in a lifetime things - so I had to move way beyond what I would usually think of as a safe choice. "It was important for me to find a story that was an unexpected solution to creating a video for this track. so we began to put the two worlds together. The Slow Rush has achieved Gold accreditation in Australia, with singles Borderline claiming Platinum and Lost In Yesterday Gold status. With The Slow Rush, Parker scored his second #1 album in Australia, his highest charting album to date in both the US and UK, and 14 top 10 chart positions around the world. This marks the third nomination in the Alternative category for Parker, having previously been nominated for Currents and Lonerism. Earlier this year, Parker was nominated for two Billboard Music Awards and an American Music Award (AMA). Tame Impala was recently nominated for two GRAMMY Awards for Best Alternative Album and Best Rock Song for the single Lost In Yesterday.
